On April 9, 2009 CBS will premier the TV series Harper's Island - a horror-inspired drama that is scheduled to run through July 2, 2009. I'm looking forward to this, as the premise and implementation have a lot of potential.

From what I understand, the series has a group of friends and family who meet to celebrate a wedding on an island off the coast of Seattle. The island has a somewhat dark past, as it was the site of several unsolved murders seven years ago. As the wedding celebrations begin, the guests begin dying, one by one. Each week, one person will die, and by the end of the series in July, the mystery will be solved.

I've heard it described as Scream meets 10 Little Indians.

I'm looking forward to the show for a number of reasons, but not limited to the fact that it is a limited run, and we know that by July 2, we'll have a conclusion to everything (unlike LOST which seems to just go on and on).
